Michelle Williams, our client booked for a rhinoplasty in Turkey and she never woke up from the operation. After months of being in intensive care at the private hospital, Michelle’s family wanted to fly her back home to get her the care she needs in the UK. The hospital tried to bill them 22000GBP.
Under Turkish laws, hospitals can not hold a patient for unpaid hospital bills yet this was what was happening
After lengthy calls and negotiations Michelle is back to UK and hospital’s bill is not going to be paid. We believe the operation was mishandled by the surgeons and straight after anesthesia was given Michelle had a cardiac arrest which also resulted in brain damage.
London Legal is suing the hospital and surgeons involved for compensation for Michelle’s family and her future medical costs.
